I just really really really really really really really love your Lestat fics😍
Thank you so much nonnie!! That is so kind!
Tumblr media
Frankly, I was a little nervous to share them at first because he's my OG blorbo and I've been writing for him (off and on) for 30 years or so and had never shared those fics. I hadn't written for him in a while, so I thought this month was the perfect time to write some new fic for public consumption! I am beyond flattered by all the feedback!
For anyone who is interested here's my IWTV masterlist and my main masterlist. This week I'll be posting a Dom!Lestat x fem!reader as well.

Can you explain a bit more how impressive Sam's singing abilities are..like I've heard some other pro singers give him immense praise for his vocal abilities
Oh dear… I'm not a vocal coach, plus I don't really feel like I have the professional vocabulary for that? Maybe I will give it a try later, when I can give the song another listen and have the mental capacity (I might be at work, don't tell my boss ^^°).
The thing is - when someone gives a bad performance, I can often make an educated guess on what is (probably) going wrong and give them one or two pointers on how to improve their technique (because it often boils down to very basic technique problems, lack of training and/or nerves). Pointing out what exactly somebody is doing well on the other hand... that comes much harder to me, which probably says more about me than I should. ^^° (Lestat and I could do the bitchiest Eurovision live reactions, I CAN be a menace and I was very much cringing with him when that tenor screwed up his performance. :D)
Anyway... someone with a background in Music Education would be a vastly better choice to do this - I'm really hoping that some youtubers will step up and deliver soon! I will try to get back to you though. :)

Dio x shy male reader afraid to ask to sit in Dios lap?
Sit - DIO
notes - okay funny story. I've been reading Interview with the Vampire and DIO is literally just Lestat. They are my two gay vampire icons, so thank you for this request anon!! It's a super mini fic, but know that this made me smile and giggle because my blonde vampires are my everything. Also, I didn't specify gender, so you can read it however! word count - 211
Tumblr media
"What is it?" You heard DIO's deep voice say from the other side of the room. "I can tell you want to ask me something."
You stiffened, blushing. "It's nothing." you said quietly.
DIO just laughed at you, his deep chuckle echoing in the small room. "Just tell me, I won't bite."
You knew that wasn't true. If anything, that's the first thing he would do.
"Really, DIO, it's nothing."
You looked into the darkness and saw his pale figure sit up on his bed, his long finger signaling for you to come closer.
Like your legs had a mind of their own, you started walking towards him until you got to the edge of the bed where he sat. He grabbed your chin and brought your face down to his level, smiling at you.
"Tell me." he said.
You looked down at his lap and blushed. God, it sounded stupid, you didn't even want to think about asking.
"y/n-" he started.
"Can I sit in your lap?" The words flew out of you, sounding even more stupid then you thought.
DIO laughed for a long while, but quickly stopped, grabbed your wrist, and pulled you down on his lap.
"You never have to ask." he cooed, kissing your ear.

Would you ever write more about trans!Armand and his three boyfs having fun? 🥺 Yes I might be a bit hinting on something but... you know... you write it so well... 🥺
I would! I just don't know when, things shift around on my fic writing to-do list so much 😭
but I feel bad because I did say I was gonna write it months ago and then I DIDN'T so here's a snippet from what I have languishing in the google gocs that's set in the same AU! mostly armand ruminating on his changing body and the challenges it brings in the bedroom (nsfw) this is supposed to be leading to the gangbang eventually:
He shuts the bedroom door gently and deposits the little white bag on the bed. Armand still hasn't fully settled into the new place – it's home, but it's fragile, tentative – he needs to be careful.
He starts from the bottom up. Stripping socks, pants, underwear. There's always been a peculiar distinction to him between outside clothes and inside clothes. Everything has to change, even the underwear. Next is the sweater, then the undershirt.
Finally comes the binder.
Black and sturdy, it binds all the way down to his belly button, compressing his chest entirely.
He's lucky, he supposes. Armand's chest – like most of him – had always been on the smaller end of the spectrum. Each side is large enough that Lestat's palms can cover them completely and not much more.
Still, he craves the illusion of total flatness that a binder provides, and as much as it's nice to shed it and allow his body to relax fully, it always hits him with an initial sense of loss.
Armand hasn't quite figured out which size and brand works best, and a quality binder is a rather expensive purchase. This one, one of two he has, is a bit too tight and always leaves his chest and sides sore from where it has been pressing down into his tender skin. If anyone else were home, Armand might curl up and ask for a quick massage that would inevitably lead to kissing and fooling around. Later, perhaps.
Besides, it's good that he has the place to himself, a rare moment of privacy that's hard to come by when four men share a one-bedroom apartment.
He rubs at his chest absentmindedly for a moment before turning to the dresser. Slips on a fresh pair of briefs and then wonders why he did it – they're about to come off again in a minute. Skips the neatly folded t-shirts in his drawer in favor of the ratty gray sweatshirt stuffed into Daniel's drawer.
The length hits Armand precisely above his knees, the fabric slipping off to expose his shoulder. He loves wearing their things: Daniel's sweatshirts, Lestat's band tees, Louis's collared shirts – he would wear their pants too if they didn't just fall off him entirely.
Armand never asks, and nobody seems to mind.
There's something extraordinarily soothing about disappearing into his lovers' clothes, the feel of each material holding a different association, drowning in their scents whenever he craves that particular comfort.
Comfort that Armand could use.
He takes a deep breath and drops onto the bed before reaching into the bag, pulling out the boxed set of dilators, holding it at arm's length, turning it over gingerly as if it has already personally offended him.
Better to get this over with.
Made quick work of the packing and did a cursory review of the instructions – nothing that the sweet salesperson hadn't already gone over with him while Armand had stood there, awkwardly shifting his weight from one side to the other, trying his hardest not to blush and failing spectacularly.
Five purple cylinders, each with a different length and girth, starting small and gradually increasing in both measures.
Armand's heartbeat picks up, and his throat feels achingly dry.
It's not arousal; in fact, he's the opposite of turned on right now. His body knows this is going to be uncomfortable to start with, at best. Interesting how drastically his pain threshold drops when it wasn't tied directly to intimacy, to someone he loves inflicting it on him. And not in a bad way, no, it's just that he'd begged for sex before, even when it physically hurt — he'd delighted in the aches and the stings and in attributing each one to a particular lover.
But this? Using these tools regularly on himself in the hope that he could retrain his front hole to regain its elasticity?
It's been a while since anyone had managed to work more than two fingers inside before insisting he was 'too tight, there's no give'; Armand would 'get hurt.'
Simply put, this was a source of intimacy Armand isn't yet willing to concede. He is stubborn, if nothing else. It's not enough to have his hole touched or for Lestat, Louis, or Daniel to rub against him and press their tip to his hole to ensure some cum made it in.

https://x.com/Sima_loustat/status/1843759021205139933
this is funny and somehow so sad. despite his outgoing nature Lestat is so closed up in NOLA. he doesn't share his past even with the love of his life :'(
I mean, I actually wouldn't assume that Louis doesn't know what bruises he's pressing on in that argument? His fight with Armand in 2.05 shows that there's not a low he won't stoop to when it comes to a fight after all, including weaponising the trauma of someone he cares about, and honestly, it's one of the things that I love about Louis. If someone goes low, he'll go lower, haha.
It's an interesting thing to think about how much Lestat actually told Louis about his life in their NOLA chapter though. He obviously told him bits and pieces about Nicki, given the weight placed on the music box, and Louis was of course present for the reveal of Lestat wanting to be a priest and the hint of his father's abuse at the du Lac family dinner table (and honestly, I kind of get the vibe in 1.01 that Louis already knew a little bit about that when Lestat weaponises it against Paul). He clearly hadn't told him anything about Paris, given Louis and Claudia go in completely blind to the Coven, or about his turning prior to Claudia forcing his hand almost 30 years into their relationship. I strongly suspect he hasn't told him about turning Gabrielle, but has he told him about her at all? (Also one of the things I desperately want in s3 is a flashback to the moment Armand realises Lestat had never told Louis about her, haha).
I don't know! I kind of go back and forth on what I think Lestat wanted to paint of his past to Louis. Lestat in the books does typically avoid conversations about truama (and literally never deals with any of it lol), so I can see him alluding to things being bad and then handwaving them away, but they did have a chapter early in their relationship where they seemed to try to get to know each other. In that sense, learning to read on the boat to America can be something I can see Lestat sharing as this sort of romantic aside to his recent travels and growth (because he does love to romanticise everything, haha). I almost feel it might depend partially though on what Louis chose to vocally reveal about himself, and also what you think Louis' education level is?
I tend to think Louis' university educated, particularly given it seems his father passed not that long before the start of the series, meaning Louis was probably in his late 20s when it happened. There were historically black universities open by the late-1800s when Louis would've gone, and I kind of have a loose headcanon (and am writing it into fic, haha) that he probably went to what's now Dillard University (New Orleans University at the time) to stay close to home (and I headcanon Florence probably would've wanted him to, particularly if Paul had already been sent away at this time).
Nicki being (partially) university educated while Lestat was completely uneducated to the point of illiteracy was a bit of a loaded dynamic between the two of them, and I can see Lestat wanting to play it differently with Louis? I don't know though, haha, this has gone down a winding road of speculation that isn't really what you're ask was about at all so what do you (and others!) think? Do you think Louis knew what he was saying (even just partially) in that fight? And what do you think he knows about Lestat's past in general?

Lestat have you played baldur's gate 3
Lestat here.
Yes, I most certainly have! I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and it truly does take me back to the days where I'd watch/listen to mortals playing the hit game Dungeons and Dragons!
I really wish to play it again sometime, I do believe that some of you out there would be more than happy to take me under your wing.
Lestat out. xoxo

In light of season one of IWTV hitting Netflix soon, here’s just a few things I want to (re)state wrt the show itself and asks in general:
The Vampire Chronicles IWTV is built on has 13 books
The first two seasons are only the first book with some inclusions of later ones
There is a big shift in tone between IWTV and later books, as the rockstar teaser already makes clear
Season 3 will be built on the second book, called “The Vampire Lestat“
Lestat is and will be the main (anti) hero of the show. Louis is the main narrator for the first book, Lestat is for the upcoming four. That does not mean that Louis will disappear, but it does mean the focus will shift a bit
I have been a fan of the VC for decades. I love the movie and the show. I had not dared to hope for a show like this. If you ask me something I will answer with that background knowledge, which might contradict show-only-current knowledge since this show (and the books) only offers very flawed POVs and no absolute truths. Any hate bc of that will lead to a block (and yes blocking anon is possible).
The show gives a brilliant social commentary on a variety of issues, not the least patriarchy or racial discrimination, cycles of abuse and so on. However, it is important to differentiate the in-universe story level and that added social commentary level in discussion. And to differentiate the actors from the characters AND to realize you (we all) might not know all after season one. Don’t come to me if you cannot do that.

Please please please write for itwv. I would cry of happiness?
You seem like a lestat girl... But also a armand.
"You seem like a lestat girl... But also a armand." you clocked me and my love of toxic men omg
here's a lestat drabble just for u anon <3
Summary: Darkness encroaching on what's considered holy is one of the world's few consistencies. Or alternatively, Lestat enjoys your stolen moments more than he'd ever admit.
Warnings: my first time writing for a character so be nice bc that's always a little scary 😭, slight religious allusions/metaphors, no pronouns used but there are potential vague implications that the reader was socialized as a girl/woman
----
What's confined to the shadows holds little regard for the sacred. The absence of light leaves no space for the good, no sanctuary or safe place to keep darkness from swallowing the revered whole.
It's fitting, then, that Lestat cannot bring himself to let you go.
You shift, fingertips brushing against the inside of his wrist. There's a valiant effort on your end to keep the turn of your head subtle, but it's not enough to keep him from feeling the weight of your cautious stare.
He keeps his eyes on your ceiling. You're radiating a warmth he's not sure he'll ever grow accustomed to, the heat of you nowhere near as simple as blood and flesh alone. It's as if remnants of daylight cling to your skin, so alive and attached to you your touch should scald him.
"Did you miss me?" The question is a thing of greed rather than curiosity.
You're quiet for a moment, your mind warning you to not reveal too much. Your hand stalls against his forearm. "Of course I missed you."
Your thoughts focus on your own response. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is a facet of your being, a testament to your ever giving honesty. Regardless of vampiric gifts, your thoughts, your feelings are easy to notice, even when they're not simple.
Now, your head is latching onto a myriad of things. Ever the lamb blinded by the wolf's clothing, you were more than just happy when he appeared at your window, you were relieved. A part of you, however, was still worried in a way that came close to making you resentful. The contrasting feelings blend together now, enjoying his presence isn't enough to make you forget his absence. Humanity and its ability to turn an approximate two weeks of nothingness into something with meaning.
Lestat turns his arm over, his fingers finding yours. "You seem to have little interest in showing me."
An exaggerated sigh falls from your lips. You move further onto your side, attention now openly settling onto him. From you, divine prophecy takes the form of a barely there crease between your eyebrows and your lips pressing together to fight against a smile. There's a similar sort of revelation in the way you're looking at him now.
"That is not true." You're working at an irritation you don't feel in an attempt to mask your desire for this type of conflict. Your elbow presses into the mattress as you prop your head up. "The only thing I've done tonight is dote on you."
In your defense, you always give as much as you can. You're generous with your attention, listening to his every word as you hold onto him, gentle fingers attempting to work warmth into stone flesh. It's a companionship unlike anything else. What once was only a simple form of entertainment has morphed into a dichotomy that shouldn't exist. You ever the saint and him the night's creature tainting holy ground.
He drags his thumb against your knuckles. "Really? You're doting on me?" The corner of your mouth pulls itself upwards, the look bordering on a smile. "And if I were to tell you I want more. What then, ange?"
Your thoughts instruct you to hold his gaze as you squeeze his hand. "Then I think I'd have to warn you of the dangers of greed."
"I'm a selfish man." Lestat lifts your intertwined hands. You watch him curiously, blood dragging its way up your neck as he presses his lips to the back of your palm. "I don't need a warning."
You're so close now he can feel the flush of your skin. "You talk like it's too late for you."
The promise of eternity is enough to quell the effects of irony. It's human nature to cling to ideality, to believe that the world is something they can take at face value. Still, from you, the comment is enough to make him smile.
The comment is closer to a joke than a genuine analysis, but it's clear that you mean the sentiment. Your eyes are bright, forgiving in their kindness. Perhaps if you knew what he was, you'd no longer look at him like he's responsible for the stars hanging in the sky.
"Maybe it is."
Your expression briefly falters, but before any changes can take root, you're moving back. You remain on your side as you lie down, head resting against his side. "I doubt that."
He begins to trail his fingers against your shoulder. You'll fall asleep soon, and he'll leave the way he always does, shedding the only version of himself you'd ever welcome with open arms. "Of course you would."
"What?"
His palm settles against your back. "You're a good person, mon ange." The vagueness of the topic paired with the tinge of something harsh in his voice leaves your thoughts restless. Lestat should take care to not pull at threads, to not leave you with questions he cannot answer. "Almost irritatingly so."
You lift your head enough to rest your chin against his ribs. "Irritatingly so?" The words are repeated with an easiness that manages to surprise him, your easy mood returning. "You're impossible."
"And you missed me desperately."
You stare at him skeptically, eyebrows drawing together and head angling itself to one side. "I never said desperately."
He pulls your arm towards him, fingers digging into your hand with enough force to imply a warning. "Do not be mean."
"I'm not," you defend, tone conveying a honey sweet innocence that could convince anyone you're incapable of wrongdoing, "I'm only saying I never told you how much I missed you."
You don't realize your mistake until the sentence has already left you. Lestat grins. "And how much did you miss me?"
Ignoring the warmth making its way up your chest, you shake your head once before moving to lie on your back again. "Oh, infinitely so. I spent my evenings in utter agony.
The facetious response is not enough to distract from your thoughts. You missed him more than you'd ever be willing to admit. For now, he'll leave you your pride. After all, he'll have other nights to focus on drawing out our praises. "Fine, be sarcastic. We're all entitled to our secrets."
You extend an arm, moving to rest it against his side. He'll have to take extra care not to wake you when he eventually has to detangle your limbs from his. The thought of the inevitable digs at him in a way he can't make sense of. Beings of the shadows may constantly work at ebbing away light, but there's an inevitable end to all wear away. You were right to notice his greed.
"Yeah," you mumble, the syllable heavy with drowsiness. For a moment, you're so still and silent Lestat almost convinces himself you've fallen asleep. "Then what are yours?"
His hand smooths circles against your spine. "That I think about stealing you away."
Your mind seems to catch itself on his answer, thoughts dissecting his words with an awareness that defies the docility that takes over when you're half asleep. After a moment, you choose to see humor there, but that isn't enough for you to let it go. "Is it really stealing if I want to go?"
You don't know what you're asking for. You're from a world so separate from his own you cannot even fathom the true implication of your words. His lips part, but before he can respond your breathing evens and your mind empties, finally succumbing to sleep.
----

I'm kind of confused and maybe it's because I'm a little slow or something? But I watched the episode and then I see people talking about how in love and yearning loustat are ( they're my faves) but where? Lestat, absolutely and his pleas to Armand show that yet again but what about Louis this episode screams madly in love and yearning for Lestat?
oh louis is absolutely down bad for lestat, trust me, in this essay I will......
1. louis (and armand lol) can't stop talking about lestat no matter the timeline, no matter what he (they) talks about it circle's back to lestat, louis is obsessed with him no matter what he tells himself
2. louis trashed lestat to young!daniel because he constantly walks through phases with lestat: louis regrets killing/leaving him, he gets depressed about it, remembers the good times, feels desperate to have lestat back, eventually gets mad at himself, lestat and the fact that they're no longer together, acts like lestat meant nothing to him, gets psychotic, does something drastic, cools down at some point, feels nothing, feels regret, the cycle continues
3. during the loumand coffin scene whan louis was in terrible pain, he once again was longing to get some comfort from lestat even if he wasn't sure it was real lestat and not armand fucking with him. he doesn't want armand to interact (even telepathically) with lestat, because he, louis, can't bare the idea that someone else can do that (reach lestat and actually talk to him) but not him, but also louis imo doesn't want them to interact because we just saw armand being vicious towards both louis and daniel and louis doesn't want lestat to go through the same in any shape or form. louis feels armand getting unstable again when lestat begs him to say to louis that he loves him and obviously louis doesn't hear that but he sees armand's face and so he feels the need to distract armand and reduces everything to the fact that lestat was just his maker and that's it. louis imo was trying to protect lestat in that scene
4. louis feels guilty for not saying I love you to lestat when they were together, we saw this theme continuing through the whole season (loumand and lesmand saying ily to each other, lestat constantly saying ily to louis) and thus I'm 100% sure louis will say ily to lestat later in the season while also crying screaming throwing up because of all the guilt he carries
so anon don't you worry, you just wait

I stumbled on your blog and i love it sm!!
Its so weird, because i am a huge Marius fan, and you put many reasons why he is my absolute favorite character as things why he SUCKS! Its so cool to me, to read something so accurate and then have someone put out a completely different opinion on it! (i do not think he is Good, none of them are. But i think he is cool, his better qualities resonate with me the most of all the characters, i love lore, and i love reading about him the most)
There are few things, that i do not understand and it bothers me endlessly! I just can't figure out where some readings come from, very sinserely (because i want to respect other readings and interpretations), maybe you could help me understand?
First: that Marius dislikes being challenged and tries to "keep Armand to himself"(generalizing) - as i read it, Marius prefers people who challenge him, can stand up to him. All of his paramours are like that - Pandora, Bianca, Armand, Lestat, Daniel..even Botticelli actively defy him, in a way other characters don't and Marius himself is vocal on that being something he admires about them. He does not know how to deal with that, oh no, but he loves it - the fire he himself does not possess. He also actively helps Armand learn about his culture and family, ready to be left behind when they visit Kievan Rus. He also never shows any type of concern about Armands "daytime" personal connections. As i remember, he encourages it decpite objections, actually.. My personal reading is that most drama and abuse between Marius and Armand is about Marius refusing the codependency Armand desperatly wants. (and them being oppisitely unhealthy about that)
Second: there is a notion, that Marius would not want Armand to grow up? And i do not understand where it comes from at all... Marius actively states (and thinks) that his own wish is to see Armand grown into a Man and he refuses time and time again to turn him before then (or to turn him at all) , until Armand is on the deaths door. (i also saw a thing about shaving, but all of them are shaved before the turning as an old ritual, canonically, i believe, only Santino is unshaved so. I might be wrong tho lol. One of canon reasons (again, if my memories are not faulty) - facial and body hair might go in and out of style, so clean shave helps them blend in better)
I you would spare some time to let me understand where those come from i would be forever grateful, because i sometimes think i am blind (and i might be! Thats why i ask. I am a bit scared that i might be percieved in bad faith, but if i have a blindspot i will not see it myself, so getting outside help is the only way haha)
I hope you have a great day! Thnx for the very least reading my ask!
(this is going to be slightly shorter then I initially wanted it to be bcus I wrote a whole essay and tumblr DELETED IT, so I’m so sorry ur going to get a condescend version of my thoughts 😰 I hope they still make sense, anyways)
Thank u sm anon ur so nice omg 🥹❤️ it makes me so happy that u like my blog!!! Don’t worry at all about coming off as bad faith u only come off as respectful and curious to me. I’m going to answer ur questions the best I can! 🙏
I think that the reason a lot of my Marius posts seem to contradict parts of canon is bcus Marius is a very self contradictory character. His wants are often in conflict with each other, and in his relationship with Armand he is always warring between conflicting desires.
First: I definitely agree that Marius seeks out people who challenge him and does rlly enjoy it (to an extent lol). but the way I perceive it, marius likes to be challenged *to an extent*. He doesn’t want a partner who will be weak and docile with him, he wants a partner he’ll need to fight into being docile and he wants to loose that fight<3.He prefers someone with some fire in them, clearly, based on his choice of lovers lol. And I think this is bcus Marius likes the chase, like any vampire. He likes the thrill of being with someone who makes him hurt for it a little bit, he likes fighting and arguing and struggling to stifle a spark he knows is too bright to put out. But also, like most ppl lol, Marius likes to be challenged only so much as he isn’t challenged to the point of having to change himself. He doesn’t want to change his perspective, whenever a partner of his gets him to rethink how he thinks or acts he tends to get rlly mad. He wants to be challenged as long as it’s fun, if he’s uncomfortable or feeling like he might actually adopt a new perspective or change as a person he puts a stop to it. At the end of the day he needs that teacher and student or master and subordinate dynamic to stay in tact. He likes to be challenged but he doesn’t like to be weakened or caught off guard in anyway that makes him question his authority or his strength.
When it comes to Marius helping Armand rediscover his culture, yas! This actually is a good transition bcus this is also a good example of what I’m talking about when it comes to the being challenged thing. Marius is happy and eager to help Armand heal from the demons of his past by rediscovering the family and culture hes forgotten, so long as Armand is obedient and answering to his call at the end of the day. Marius is happy to be left on the sidelines, up until armand starts disregarding his authority and moving away from him on his own path. After coming home from Kiev Armand realizes that he doesn’t gain anything from learning from Marius and he would rather learn on his own by discovering himself and processing what this new culture means to him. And Marius let’s him have this, until he realizes that he’s loosing his control over Amadeo and he is not going to come back to him without a push, and he beats the absolute shit out of him 😭 again, challenged to an extent.
Second: when marius first buys Armand he explains in blood and gold that part of why he chose Armand was bcus he wanted a vampire companion in Bianca, but he felt too guilty to turn Bianca bcus she was a bright young woman with a future ahead of her, so he chose Armand to be his future vampire companion instead bcus Armand was broken enough to not have a chance of a future anyway (therefore turning him is guilt free). Then, marius learns very quickly that Armand could easily have a future just as bright as Bianca, once he’s under his care he starts to prosper, and he realizes that turning him into a vampire would be equally as cruel as turning Bianca. So his motive changes, and he decides that his desire to turn Armand is wrong and he should instead give him the chance to live a full human life just like any of the other boys. Marius wants this bcus he knows that it’s the right thing to do, to give up the person he loves for their own good. But it’s also, deep down, not what he wants at all, bcus it agonizes him to think of a future where he doesn’t have Amadeo. So this creates this self contradictory mess, where Marius is aiming both at the same time to turn Armand into a vampire and also to let him live a human life. He starts doing contradictory things, like feeding Armand his blood and exposing him to vampirism + getting him hooked on it, and then sending him out to “experience humanity” bcus that’s what Marius wants for him.
It caused Armand to be driven absolutely insane, bcus he’s being communicated two different things about what Marius wants for his future. I think Marius’s conflicting desire causes part of Armand’s desperate begging for him to turn him. Armand is so fed up with this mind melding conflict he just wants Marius to rip the band aid off and do it 😭 cuz they both know it’s what they both want. And Marius knows that this is the terrible abusive option, and he can’t get Armand to see this bcus Armand is too far deep in his love brain.
So my answer is, Marius wants Armand to grow up bcus he knows that’s what’s best for him, but he continues to hold out on the possibility of vampirism and refuses to cut ties with Armand bcus he rlly does want to turn him against his better judgement, which in my opinion reads as a desire to keep him young, under his control, in that limbo stage where he doesn’t need to make a decision. Partly bcus if Armand is young and compliant and his body isn’t changing the clock isn’t ticking and Marius doesn’t have to confront that his choices r either loose Amadeo or ruin him.
when it comes to the “shaving Armand was part of a vampire ritual” personally I don’t remember that? It’s not that I don’t believe u, that could totally be accurate and it definitely sounds like smth that would be canon, but I’m struggling to remember if I read that and forgot. I’ve always perceived the Marius shaves Armand cuz he wants to preserve his youth thing as accurate bcus it’s interesting and makes sense for the characters and I don’t remember anything that contradicts it lol, I also don’t remember any other character being shaved pre turning as a ritual besides Armand so I didn’t consider if it was a vampire thing. but u could be right and if so oops I’m sorry for spreading misinfo 😭 but either way that’s still gonna be my headcanon and my interpretation is much the same lol
I hope u have a great day anon and find this interesting ❤️ thank u for the ask!

Someone sent me a message and I don't want to directly answer that because it has a link, so I'll answer it on this post. Lestat tells Louis he didn't have anything to do with Paul's death, that he would never do such thing and Sam reinforced it on an interview. Paul already had a mental illness that was so advanced he had to be hospitalized before Lestat even stepped in New Orleans. On the books, he didn't have any connection to his death either and Anne Rice herself clarified it again for fans on Facebook.
Lestat did participate on the trial, but there are still many unanswered questions about that and what roles Lestat, Armand and the coven played there or not, so I personally don't like making final statements about who's guilty or innocent in this situation. Sure, we have the books, but the show isn't a carbon copy of The Vampire Chronicles, so I'm waiting to see what the show version will be first. Sam said Lestat didn't want to be there and there are hints that he could've been mind-controlled and/or tortured, so we'll see.
The only people Louis (maybe) cared about and Lestat did directly kill were Lily (off camera, so we don't really know how that went except for the fact he killed her) and the two priests. And I do believe we could talk about that, how we feel about it, how that might have affected Louis or not, it's always great to have thoughtful discussions about this show and these characters...
But I personally think we should at least be able to separate 1) what is confirmed by canon or at least the cast and crew on interviews 2) what is ambiguous and open to interpretation 3) what is a theory that has yet to be confirmed or debunked by the *show* in the future.

Lestat would 100% be the one taking a nap on Armand's ass (the canonically plump ass, feel like we can't stress this enough), because Armand is resting half of his body on Louis with his thigh wrapped around his stomach. It's a visual Lestat can't resist and he's not about to nuzzle Armand from behind like he's thirdwheeling or something please, he's about to make the absolute best of this experience xoxo DA
You're so right, as always. 🖤
He's a prince for heaven's sake! He (literally) gets the best seat in the house, the lap of luxury, etc. It's the perfect place to rest his pretty blond head after a long night of getting his ass handed to him by Marius.
Madame de Pompadour Armand coming through yet again, god bless. 😌
